Ballycotton Light House Tour

All children from 4th-6th classes went on a school tour to Ballycotton Light House. We had a fantastic day in the sunshine.

After a short trip to Ballycotton pier we travelled by boat to the island. We then had a guided tour of the island. We learned about how the light house operated, what life was like for the light house keeper and their families, some local history and we even spotted some wildlife.

After our tour we then ate our lunch over looking the ocean. We travelled back by boat where we received some treats after a long day.

To top off an amazing day each child received an ice-cream before heading off on the bus back to school.
