The children enjoyed a wonderful science workshop based on wildlife and insects. All classes learned about Irish wildlife and habitats as well as their diets and threats. They then enjoyed an insect study based on mini beasts found in the school garden. They caught the insects using nets, pooters and sorting trays. Finally, they analysed the insects under the microscope and categorised them. Our junior classes created their own insects using clay and natural materials found in our school garden.
What a great day of learning using our school environment!
