Christmas Cooking
All classes enjoyed some Christmas cooking with infant classes making some delicious rice crispies reindeers and 3rd-6th making some tasty rice crispy puddings.
Christmas Science & Technology
All classes focused on the theme of SNOW.
Infants-2nd
Infants to 2nd class has to create different snow ball designs using cocktail sticks and marshmallows. We then analysed them to see what shapes we could find. The children found many triangles, pentagons, hexagons and octagons. In the end, the snow flakes melted away in the children's mouths 😊
They then enjoyed some iPad time when they got to decorate a virtual Christmas tree.
3rd-6th
3rd-6th classes had to design a snowball catapult. Using their engineering skills, they build a catapult that had to launch a snowball a certain distance to reach a target. To calculate the optimal position, they used their maths skills (averages & measurement) and recorded the results in the Chromebooks. Some great designs were made!
