For Engineeers Week we were very fortunate to have one of our parents, Denis, and co-worker Nada, come to the school and give a presentation to the children about the work of a mechanical and biomedical engineer.
The children learned about the engineering process behind making replacement hips and other parts of the body. They learned about the metals involved in making these parts, subjects needed to become a mechanical or biomedical engineer and what they enjoyed most about their work.
Thank you Denis & Nada for giving your time and sharing your experiences with the children and for the highlighters and 'Think like an Engineer' booklet!
This webinar was based on how engineers choose the best mode of trasnport for our neighbourhoods and could their choices affect our health?
